My name is Karina and I am the owner of Wiggle and Woof Dog Academy. I have been a dog trainer since 2017 under multiple professional dog trainers. I graduated from University of Urbana-Champaign with a bachelor in Animal Science. I have experience teaching a variety of breeds for a range of purposes, including therapy dogs, dogs that are blind and deaf, basic and advanced obedience, aggression, and reactivity. I am always interested in learning more about dogs, and it makes me happy to see both dogs and their owners succeed over time. I learn something new from each dog that I train and continue to expand my knowledge.

My goal as a dog trainer is to find the best technique suitable to every dog. There is no one way when it comes to dog training, every dog is different. I work with the owners and dogs to ensure comfort and safety for everyone around.

I have a 5 year old Australian Shepherd: Dakota aka Koda, that I have had since she was 8 weeks old. We compete in agility and have learned dock diving as well. Koda has titles in agility, CGC, and trick dog, as well as receiving her Therapy Dog certificate. I am involved in the horse world where I competitively compete in different circuits in Illinois. Being able to bring my dog with me to the barn and to shows has allowed me to expose her to different people, animals, and environments.
